In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TED has created a program called TEDx. TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. Our event is called TEDxIndianaUniversity, where x = independently organized TED event. At our TEDxIndianaUniversity event, TED Talks video and live speakers will combine to spark deep discussion and connection. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events, including ours, are self-organized.

This TEDx event focuses on the theme of Uncharted Waters. At a time of increasingly rapid innovation, of both technology and societal thought, it can be difficult to navigate in the "best" direction for the human race to progress. Guided by this idea, a group of carefully chosen speakers will address some of these new developments in order to help us move forward into Uncharted Waters.
