Event Description
Celebrate the holiday season with the Grammy-nominated Singing Hoosiers when they return to IU Auditorium for the jolliest family-friendly event of the year, Chimes of Christmas. The Singing Hoosiers deck their annual concert with a revue of contemporary songs, favorite carols, and classical choral arrangements sure to make your holiday spirits bright.
The Singing Hoosiers, directed by Dr. Chris Albanese, are a Bloomington favorite with over half a century of tradition in contemporary vocal performance. They have enchanted audiences all over the country and the globe, with performances in more than 26 countries.
Featuring performances by Jacobs School of Music ensembles, the performers will come together to make your holidays merry and bright with this beloved Bloomington tradition.
Holiday Food Drive
This holiday season IU Auditorium will collect donations of non-perishable food items to support Hoosier Hills Food Bank. Hoosier Hills Food Bank is a local non-profit organization dedicated to eliminating hunger in South Central Indiana. Your generous donation will help feed children, seniors, and low-income households across Monroe, Brown, Lawrence, Orange, Owen, and Martin County. Donations will be collected in the Auditorium entryway starting one hour before the show begins.
All donations of non-perishable food items are greatly appreciated, but Hoosier Hills Food Banks is most in need of:
Canned fruits & vegetables (low sugar, low salt)
Canned soups & stews
Canned proteins
Peanut butter
Cereals
Pasta
Tomato sauce
Macaroni and cheese
Coffee
Bread/Muffin Mix
