Indiana University Commencement Policies
For recognition ceremonies at IU Auditorium May 8–10, guests are permitted to bring clear bags that are approximately the size of a one-gallon freezer bag or small clutch approximately the size of a hand. 

Additional prohibited items for recognition ceremonies at IU Auditorium include:
• Backpacks
• Banners
• Placards
• Flags
• Noise makers
• Weapons
• Packages
• Balloons
• Outside food and beverages
• Golf umbrellas

Golf umbrellas can be left at coat check, but no other items, including purses or bags, will be accepted at coat check.
